Morning:
I together with Dreckker, Daniel and Anna (Daniel’s Fiancé) had Kuching Specialty, Kolo Mee for brunch.
Usually the noodle is handmade or made only in Kuching, so that explains the tenderness of each string of noodle. As for the taste, the look really is deceiving. It looks like a plain noodle but the taste, trust me, you would take another bowl!
Some people prefer adding “red” to the noodle. No, it’s not adding chilies, just more “Cha Siu” (red honey roasted pork) oil. The taste would be different, but loved by some…. Yup, me!
1:00 pm: I received an sms from Air Asia saying my flight has been retimed to 9:00pm from 8:15pm. “It’s okay, just 45 minutes late”, I guessed.
2:00 – 3:00pm: I went shopping for something to bring back Penang. I picked up Dreckker because he called me up coincidently when I was driving in his area. Then I called Vivian and asked her where she was going when I saw her reversing her car from her car porch (Yup, Dreckker and Vivian live nearby, actually Daniel and I too!)
3:00 – 5:00pm: I had coffee with Dreckker, Vivian and her friend Ivy at Memories. I picked this place because I only remembered Dreckker bringing me to this place before. Ivy supposed to be my senior during secondary school, but I didn’t remember seeing her before. But strangely she said she saw us before! I guessed some girls really changed for the better after 18 years old…. or maybe for the worse…
6:30pm: After packing up my stuffs, I had “Tangyuan”. It is a kind of Chinese food made from glutinous rice flour premixed with water and shaped as balls before cook with sweeten water. I still didn’t know the story behind but we usually took it to signify adding one more year to our age. So, if you see girls rejecting it, saying it was too sweet, they lied…
7:00pm: I went to a Kolo Mee store to purchase Kolo Mee to take it to Penang for my brother.
7:45pm: I checked in my luggage and proceed to departure gate. Bye bye Kuching? I saw people eagerly waiting for his plane that he could not sit properly.
Air Asia first-come-first-serve basis usually have people preparing to race to board the plane at the announcement that the plane is ready.
8:30pm: Where’s my plane? It was delayed till 12:00am! Oh no! As compensation, we were provided with a food voucher and an email address for us to complain! It seemed that if we complained correctly we could be compensated with a RM200 voucher… weee!
9:00pm: I went to exchange the food with the voucher.
I was given something disappointing -A plate of fried noodles or Kuey Tiaw and mineral water.
The Kuey Tiaw was not just oily and the only ingredient was egg….if you look closely, spot them? How many pieces of eggs could you find?
So, 3 hours to go, what should I do next?
10:00pm: I went to Starbucks to blog about this.
It was cold so I ordered a cup of hot chocolate, because I plan to snore loudly in the plane, so no coffee for me.
11:15pm: Done blogging! Time to go? Hopefully no more delay announcement.
